Ranking

ACY Securities ranks number 6 on TraderGuide’s ranking list. The ranking list is based on the cost of trading with ACY Securities, in the 16 most commonly traded instruments globally.

What you need to know about ACY Securities

ACY Securities is an Australian FX and CFD broker, established in 2011, holding an ASIC licence (Australia), a St Vincent and the Grenadines licence, and a licence from the financial authorities in South Africa.

ACY Securities offers a broad selection of FX and CFD products, including 59 FX pairs, 19 stock indices, 9 cryptocurrencies, and 16 commodities. They also provide a limited selection of US shares and ETFs.

They have a very low minimum deposit of just $50, making them an attractive option for traders with smaller budgets. Our testing was conducted using their ACY LogicTrader web-based platform, which is functional but lacks advanced features. ACY Securities offers variable spreads.

What do we like about ACY Securities?

ACY Securities holds an ASIC (Australian) licence and has a good reputation. They offer the MT4 and MT5 platforms, as well as their proprietary ACYLogix web-based platform, which we reviewed. We appreciate brokers that go beyond just offering the MetaSuite (MT4 and MT5).

They have a reasonable selection of products, particularly in the FX market.

What concerns us about ACY Securities?

Evaluating ACY Securities' stock index Bid-Ask spreads can be frustrating. For instance, their Dow index Bid-Ask spread is often quite competitive at 1.15, but as is common with many variable spread brokers, ACY can suddenly display a much wider spread of 4.25 on the Dow index, which is far from competitive. This inconsistency makes it difficult to evaluate their spreads accurately, as TraderGuide reports the highest possible Bid-Ask spread rather than the lowest.

Their FX spreads are relatively reasonable but still on the expensive side compared to other brokers. For example, their EUR/USD spread is typically 1.50, but as it is a variable spread, it can drop below this level at times. On the positive side, there is no commission to pay on trades.

Should you trade with ACY Securities?

ACY Securities ranks comfortably in the middle of TraderGuide’s ranking list. If you open an account with ACY Securities, you will be trading with a broker that has more regulatory oversight than most others. This is an important consideration for traders who value fund safety as much as competitive spreads.

Overall, ACY Securities is a decent choice for new traders who want to trade small lot sizes and benefit from a good selection of products.
